Is There a Cultural Divide Between Reporters and Journalists?

There's a cultural divide at the New York Times between journalists who are just in it for the cloud and retweets. And then you have people who are doing things more sort of like by the book, they're writing the 5000 word article with the flower or lead all the stuff. The culture of the Times is very similar to the culture of government, where these are career public servants who either believe in it or they're addicted to it. But one of the downsides of the Culture Wars is that Time can be an unhappy place because there is so much unhappiness here.
