Is the Bible Literal or the Inspired Word of the Bible?
In modernity, this whole idea of literal reading of the Bible is pretty new. A lot of sacred text is poetry, you know, and there's a different thing. Truth is told differently in a piece of prose and in a pieces of poetry. It's still truth. But we tend to argue about it like it's an opinion piece in the New York Times.
