The History of the Automobile
The internal combustion engine car was so successful because it promised er the potential motorist a kind of adventure, three in three aspects. So this triple adventure more or less accompanied the early history of of the automobile. In my book, i wrote a history of western automobilism, in which i distinguished between two large American cultures and clearly a real european one. My second point was that i refuted the thesis of the us as a model of car history. That is also what you see around you in many histories of national er car cultures where more or less the us Is used to write that history.
