What Happened in Africa in the Middle Ages?
Renaissance is a fairly European concept, this idea of a flowering of arts and thinking. Did societies beyond Europe experience something similar? Renaissance in that sense, I think, happened globally across the world. The term starts to become meaningless if you refer to it simply as Europe in the 15th century.
