The Trend in QB Target Shares

Mobile quarterbacks don't check down to running backs as much. Team target shares at running back are definitely lower with more mobility at quarterback. Of 44 different quarterback seasons within our definite runner sample, we had 6 where the team ranked in the top 10 in running back target share. Only 6 of those seasons saw a top 10 target share rate at running back.
