Particularlye irian people, in the phrase of the time, very much regarded as being undeserving of relief. And i think even in terms of the legislation of the 18 thirties, can see how the irish poor were less deserving than their counterparts in britain. So it was decided to roduce a poor law to ireland 18 38, modelled on the english 18 34 poor law.
