Tom Zoellner says he learned a lot from mutual friends Cole Wilcox and Eric Kriton. They are featured in his new book, "The Trader's Guide to Wall Street" One of the things they told him was that you have to figure out what it is your client wants first before giving them an idea which sometimes isn't the best idea over the very long run. He also said if you want to stay in business or raise assets for something important then you need to be willing to take risks on ideas that might not work.
