The Effects of Wolfes on Mountain Lion Behavior
There is some evidence from Yellowstone that wolves did affect the distribution and the behavior of mountain lions, but it's complicated. There isn't any really good, strong evidence. Partly, as Joe said, it's really difficult to get this information to, you know, say that there would be changes in numbers of animals. But except for in the case of coyotes, and that is something that there is a strong evidence that wolves will cause a decrease in coyote populations and changes in coyote behavior.
