Are You Grounding This in Your Life's Research?
Biologists like myself believe that many of these tendencies are present much older than our species, and so it's not something that we invented. A sense of reciprocity, a sense of fairness, following rules and an punishing unacceptable behaviour can be found in other animals. For example, the reason that the dog is man's best friend is because the dog is able to follow rules leand and that's what we like about the dog. We have all these tendencies already in place. And all we have done in our moral system sort of refine them, justify some of them, discuss others. But i think it's all marginal compared to the basic tendencies.
