The Secrets of Dante's Time

Dante says that when they got together and they moved through this divine light they discussed things which he's not going to tell us now which are best kept silent now. Dante is saying at this point what we discussed amongst the poets can't really be expressed now but the implications the secrets will be revealed further on. A lot of pagan and Muslim divines you might say start to appear in a sort of procession before Dante's eyes.
