College Can Be the Best Four Years of Your Life

"I was incredibly depressed. I said goodbye to my girlfriend and I left," she says of her time at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. "When they say that college can be the best four years of your life, they're not lying because it certainly was the case for me" The former basketball star's mother passed away in 2017; his brother died in a car accident in 1992. He now works as an advocate for HBCU programs around the country.
