Theodore Bundy's Escape From a Colorado Jail
Murder suspect Theodore Bundy escaped from a Colorado jail on New Year's Eve 1978. He had been cut in the ceiling of his cell for a light fixture, according to Sheriff Robert Hartz. The sheriff says it is a solid steel cell except for that small hole. Despite a statewide search in Colorado, Bundy manages to flee and makes his way to Florida.
