Industrial Spy Ransomware - What's Going On?
Deepin Desai is the Chief Information Security Officer and VP of Security Research and Operations at Zscaler. He says industrial spy started as a data extortion marketplace where criminals could buy large companies internal data. After these initial promotional campaigns, what we're now starting to see is the thread group has introduced their own ransomware to create these double extortion attacks.
