In 1848, a small click of men believed that even 1792 was not enough. So where did these guys look? That's right. They looked to 1796. And it was not the name Robespierre that got their hearts thumping, but rather bad buff Gracasbabbeuf. Babbeuf had been among the very first of the socialist revolutionaries who would not stop short at merely answering the political question, but wanted to answer the social question as well.
