The Task Force's Report on Health Disparities
The government realized that or recognized that the health of Americans was improving, but not all populations were. The task force was charged with trying to find out why and what it did was this literature survey. When you then went to each of the six diseases that it studied, they just, it just disappeared. All of the conclusions that they drew ended up focusing on either the biology of the different populations that had such high rates or the behaviors. It just erased any awareness of social determinants of health in equalities.
