The Prince's Secret Plan

Jane Eyre is the new series of BBC1's The Queen, which starts on Monday at 8.30pm. It tells the story of how Edward VIII was deposed and replaced by his daughter Mary in a secret plot to take over the throne. But did Jane know about this plan as it was being devised? She wasn't an agent in this plan - she knew only three days after he died. And they soon found out that she wouldn't allow them to pull her strings.
