"I'm kind of done going to war, Alex. I look around to see a pile of bodies in my life," he says. "So I'm going to make peace with it." His parents have some sort of guilt over the way his brain works and they're wondering what they ate that gave him this genetic issue or what part of their DNA contributed to the wiring system. You've got some neurological architecture challenges that the rest of us don't have. And so again, instead of going to war with reality, just knowing I need to avoid these kind of confrontations.
