The Lord's Blessings Are Transferred to the Lamb of God

In the person of jesus christ, he took our nature upon him and became a human being like us. Then on the cross, as he died for us, he identified himself deliberately with our sin and guilt. He plunged into the god forsaken darkness that is hell in order that we might be spared and forgiven. Our burden can be lifted because he bore it when he died. If we acknowledge we are weary and heavily burdened, why does he offer to ease the burden, to lift it, to remove it? Because he dies for us.
