Theodore Benziger was a Nazi scientist who invented the erythermometer. The Air Force pulled him out of Nuremberg so that he could come to the U.S. and work at Camp King, where CIA first developed extreme interrogation techniques. "I became kind of hell-bent for leather to demonstrate," says author about his book's subject matter.
