What Makes Vim So Awesome?
There's a mental trick that helps with Vim. The thing about Vim is it was designed to go over really, really bad phone lines. It's designed so that it works much more like a database where you're sending transactions to a remote server and they happen and then come back. So in order to what makes Vim awesome, but then once you know that, it makes it a lot easier to learn.
