Is Inheritance Really Necessary?
As soon as you start playing with inheritance, my toes fall off. It's like, make the bad man stop. I've definitely got a few projects where it becomes very hard to work out where on earth even the code that's executing is because of the base classes and all the rest of it. You should absolutely be using local types that reflect what's going on locally rather than trying to sort of push a, uh, a square peg through around hole.
