The Importance of Knowledge in Purification
You cannot purify yourselves unless it comes with seeking, first of all, beneficial knowledge. So Allah proceeded knowledge before action in this ayah in surah Muhammad. If you want to be someone who achieves purity, you have to work hard for it. It's not easy, it doesn't come easily. And the statement of Allah is a waj'al and the hadith kutusi.
