Four Points to Leverage in the Differential Diagnosis
The fourth point really is to integrate what you've learned on location with the time course. If a patient has jaundace and abdominal pane, we know we're talking about some problem in the liver or the billery tract. On the other hand, if they have unexplained hypotension, like our patient, we really want to think about some cause of introbnomial hemorrhage. Other things that can be telling would be a mass.
