The Difficulties of Having a Female Monarch

Jane was married to the Duke of Northumberland's son, Guilford Dudley. The men around her thought that if she was queen, then Guilford would be king. But Jane was not having it and said no crown for Guilford. He'll be a Duke, not a king, which is sort of a very extraordinary act of independence.
