Proximal tibial shaft fractures treated with intermedullary nails are most commonly mal reduced. Several techniques are available to overcome this mal alinment. Proximal and lateral nail starting point, usage of ephemeral distractor or temporary plating,. super pateller nailing and lateral parapetella approaches. Super patelle nailing portals have not been shown to affect coronal angulation. The concept is to affect the apex anterior deformity.
