The Backdoor to a British Passport
South Africans had not been allowed to participate in the Olympics since 1960. They wouldn't be allowed until 1992 because of how awful the apartheid regime was. She finds kind of a backdoor in by using her grandfather's birth in London or his ancestry British ancestry. But what's shady about it is that it was highly expedited and no one gets a passport quicker than bud does for the purposes of running in the Olympics.
