What Do You Think About Medieval Records?
One of the big things about medieval records is we're going to hear more particularly from rich women. Even at incredibly high echelons of society, often those women can read but not write. So one of the groups that we end up hearing a lot from is actually middle class women. By the time we have a written record of what's going on for them, they're remarkable - it's not that common to be literate.
