Is the Lacramari Aware of Its Prey?

Lacramari is a single celled organism. It appears to sense because it's able to hunt, but does not have any nerves. Is that single cell aware of its prey? Now most of the audience agreed that it appears to sense and p appears to perceive its hunting. But is it aware? I would say it's not aware, because otherwise awareness is reduced to a single cell,. which we have no there is no account of that actually happening.
