Kotaku in action slowly evolved into a forum that was really proud of its efforts and ability to target and harass people. So tons of people in the gaming industry were kind of ran off the internet or feared for their lives. It basically created an entirely insecure landscape for many people on line who used to be able to find some of safety while sharing these views of equality. Suffice to say that gamerige was a trial balloon for a lot that came after, including what is happening right now with that exact same context,. wherein anything that has a whiff of wokeness or critical race theory. Now it's ghastly.
