The post war single breadwinner nuclear family privatizes care. But then that arrangement starts to fall apart almost right away because it is organized around and rooted through a kind of employment that is already disintegrating by the late 50s. So that reintroduces all of these kinds of questions from the earlier period that you were just talking about by the 70s. Those are all back in different different ways. The connection between the post war family and the hospital is more than metaphorical, right? It's like they're institutional cousins in a certain way.
