In Common
00:00
Introduction
i spoke with mark morritz, a professor of anthropology at the ohio state university. Mark described his interpretation of open property regimes as an adaptation to resource scarcity and variability in these semi arid systems. This is a unique type of property regime that is less about imposing constraints than it is about insuring resource access. We talked about how mark's work fits with common narratives about property rights and the roles they play with respect to environmental sustainability and livelihood maintenance.
