Is There a Bunker Kind of Imagination in Science Fiction?

Churchill's initial fear that London's wouldn't come back out of underground stations came from the time machine. There is a sense of a bunker kind of imagination to science fiction, so maybe Churchill was picking up on that. We should return to the idea that you mentioned earlier about other traditions or other voices that haven't been given recognition. Who should we champion? I think there are many, it's a golden age right now. It feels like a completely new, brilliant world of invention.
