Luddites are a favourite among silican valley types to talk about because they're always lamenting the idea of being a ludite. But i'm not sure they fully understood the historical significance of the luddites as a movement. They were contesting the idea that machines would take away a labor, artisan labor and degrade humans into being hogs in a machine. The industrial revolution was causing misery and dgrading our people who were doing this kind of work. And so that movement to break frames actually came from a place ofof moral good that ought to be paid attention to.
