Justice Wills claimed that Wilde had been involved at the centre of a form of homosexual corruption like no other ever witnessed in court. There was a minority position being voiced that in fact, Wilde had done nothing wrong because everything that he had done with these young men was consensual right? And it was private and we shouldn't be intruding into the private sexual lives of individuals. It's very interesting to read some of these minority voices. They're coming from different places. One newspaper I talk about called Reynolds newspaper which was a Sunday broad sheet carried one or two very condom-natery columns about Wilde. Also carried some extraordinary articles about the extent and scope of black male, homosexual black male
