Is There Any Medical Benefits to Circumcision?
The American Academy of Pediatrics came out with this policy statement about circumcision in 2012. It said that the benefits of circumcision outweigh the risks, including P&L cancer and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The risk of a urinary tract infection in boys is extremely low at baseline. So I don't use that as a medical reason to recommend circumcision.
