Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the House Speakership - I Will Never Vote for This Guy

Members both for and against him spend much of yesterday huddled behind closed doors sources close to the process tell NBC news. They believe the members are close to a promising deal in their words and we're working out the details. As for specific demands from those far right members still holding out looks like they'll get much desired prime slots on several key committees, including appropriations, banking and rules. But despite all that it still will not necessarily assure McCarthy the speakership because NBC news sources are not even certain how many votes phase one of this deal would actually net for McCarthy.
