I think there's a baseline of distrust of scientific experts in the United States that bears the marks of this long tradition of argumentation about scientists. Having a kind of inhuman view of persons, right. Having a fundamentally skewed and dangerous sense of who we are as human beings. You know, if we look at the sources of a kind of post truth climate.
