The liberal facade of generosity, of caring is always hiding some sort of power play. In a way it's something that really wants to think of itself as a kind of a duty of care. But you can also read it as an perverse gladiatorial fascination. It seems like with the black lives matter event, like the liberal, cosmopolitan alite was all on board with defending the police. And if we went past our current enthusiasms into like, some kind of full on jim jones suicide cult, i feel like a lot of the sheik people in worsaw and kieven lovo would be committing suicide too.
