There's no need for a false dicodomy. A lot of it comes back to choosing the appropriate environment for expressing that vulnerability, if that makes sense. I meni because you find men who have the armor plating on and can never take it off. For what s worth, the guys i've met who are operating at the highest level in, say, special forces, do not have that problem. And they're very apathetic and emotionally attuned. But at the same time, i see them playing with their kids or with their wives,. So that's but that, it's a tough needle to thread.
Dr. Brené Brown (@BreneBrown) is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.
