Is Bit Coin an Easy Connection Point Between the Economy and Science Fiction?
The economy and s f have an easy connection point, which is that they're both mythology, they're both fiction. There's a whole sort of a imaginary around governente that's also tied up in block train and crypo currency to me seems very much like a science fiction. I take seriously that our imaginative investment in things and the stories we tell about them actually do shape the world. And so i'm really interested in helping a sort of unpack the layers by which the economy is mythologized and based on certain kinds of beliefs.
