Patricia was confused that the Allensons weren't tripping over themselves to give everything to Tom. She just complained all day that the house wasn't being built fast enough. The older Allensons even wrote Tom out of their will and told him in Patricia this. According to Patricia, Tom had told her, I can't do this anymore. We can't live like this. Sure, we don't have to get along but threatening to kill each other is ridiculous.
