The Priestly Ministry of Jesus

Christ is a priest who seeks defilement. He seeks out those who are in the Old Testament excluded like lepers, like dead people, like hemorrhaging women. And this is his way of taking the tabernacle out to the people and bringing cleansing to them by taking their defilement into into himself. But it's not just a one-time event. That's what its whole ministry is about. It's about taking on uncleanness and everything that's wrong with the world, including death and sin in order that he might die for that.
