The Myth of the Bear
There are some amazing fairy tales about wolves. One of them is called Ivan Zaraevich and the Grey Wolf. They offer us a way to think about our own cruelty and our own sort of furies. The book has a surprising amount of John Dunne in it for a book about animals. He was one of the first great scientists laying out the actual facts of the animal kingdom, refuting myths that had previously existed.
