What Are the Options for the Taliban in Afghanistan?
What you now have in afghanistan is an absolutely catastrophic economic situation where starvation is around the corner, and has started. The talaband that came in are not the same as the talimen that were there previously. Andi think there's going to be a very long autopsy of this, of the western support of government. Had there been a different president other than gani, i think the situation would have been different. But we remain engaged with afghanistan. For us, non engagement is not an option.
