Andres Ceto sounds like a very similar name to mine and I can assure listeners that it wasn't me planting my own questions. How early was the NHS established to other countries? So there were earlier examples of comprehensive government coordinated healthcare systems in the world. The most important example would be the Soviet Union after the Communist Revolution in 1917, which not on the same scale as the NHS did get involved in the provision of healthcare. But in the democratic world, in terms of legislation, the honours go to New Zealand who in their Social Security legislation in 1938 legislated for a government coordinated free at the point of use health service.
