When I discovered negotiation in law school, I said, I don't know how, but I need to make this my thing. And so that's when the American Negotiation Institute was born. A good definition of success for a negotiator is how well are you satisfying your interests? It's really hard to satisfy your interests if you don't know what they are. The power is in the question, not the answer.
