The New South Wales Property Tax Cut

Labor will lift the stamp duty threshold from $650,000 to $800,000. 95% of first home buyers in New South Wales purchase a property for less than that amount. Mr Peritay is offering this annual land tax to the New South Wales government. But if you decide to make it an investment property for yourself, then you have to pay both the annual land tax, as well as the land tax for the rental property. And I'd rather people pay no stamp duty at all or no tax at all, rather than an annual fee to the other.
