The usa, since the cold war, has been a separation of foreign and domestic. The global labor movement in general created a circumstance in which labor was trapped within borders, but capital was footloose and mobile. And then eventuallyhen came back home were the same kinds of sort of foot loose realities that undermine labor protections. You now systematically destroyed a the labor movement domestically, and then had profound effects on sustaining social democracy at home.
