I think Major was kind of underrated. He was seen as much more of a no-hope than he actually was. I remember doing a song on Spin image but it was the times they aren't changing. You had a chance for change but you threw it away. And that was felt for me at that point that Britain would forever be a Conservative country. That every election there would be reelected for decades and decades and decades.
