In 20 15, around 52 thousand people in the us. Died of drug overdoses. In 20 20, as we now know, over a hundred thousand people died of drug overdoses,. The majority due to fentinil and other synthetic opioids. Short term treatment of 28 days or less is all that most americans are offered, if they can get any help at all. According to the national institute on drug abuse, treatment for less than 90 days is of limited effectiveness.
